CD Marker use in Flow Cytometry
The cluster of differentiation (cluster of designation or classification determinant) (often abbreviated as CD) is a protocol used for the identification and investigation of cell surface molecules providing targets for immuno-phenotyping of cells. Nomenclature proposed in 1982 at First International Workshop and Conference on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens (HLDA); workshops now called Human Cell Differentiation Molecules.
